AI Readiness Assessment
setup guide

A free, read-only scan that scores your HubSpot portal's AI readiness in about 60 seconds — using the same five-pillar methodology as our full AI readiness audit. This guide covers everything before you connect: what you need, how installation works, what the scan accesses, and what you get at the end.

Before you start

  • A HubSpot account — any hub and any tier, including the free CRM.
  • A user who can authorize apps: a Super Admin, or a user with App Marketplace access permissions.
  • A work email address where your findings report will be sent.
  • About one minute. Nothing is downloaded and no software is installed into your portal.

Installation: four steps, about a minute

1

Start the assessment

Go to assessment.bryantworks.com/ai-assessment, enter your name, work email, and company, and complete the quick bot check. Then click Connect HubSpot & get my score.

2

Authorize read-only access

HubSpot's standard OAuth screen opens. Choose the portal you want to scan and review the requested scopes — every one is read-only. The app cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your portal.

3

The scan runs automatically

A lightweight, ~20-second scan reads aggregate signals across your CRM, properties, workflows, and sales activity. Your access token is used once for the scan and then discarded — it is never stored.

4

Get your score + report

Your preliminary AI readiness score and tier appear on screen immediately. A detailed findings report — the stats we found under the hood — lands in your inbox minutes later.

Configuration

There's nothing to configure

The assessment has no settings, field mappings, or sync schedules, and it leaves no ongoing connection behind. It's a one-time, read-only scan: once your score is on screen and your report is in your inbox, the process is complete.

The five pillars we score

Each pillar is scored from aggregate signals, with an honest completeness discount when a signal isn't measurable in a light scan. Your preliminary overall score is a weighted blend of the four measured pillars.

Data Foundation

Hub tiers, custom-object footprint, and how well your records are associated.

Data Quality

Contact completeness — email, name, and job-title fill rates across your database.

Activity & Conversations

30-day volume of calls, meetings, emails, and notes, plus recording coverage.

Team Adoption

How broadly your team actually uses the portal. Measured in the full audit.

Automation Maturity

Active vs. dormant workflows and how modern your automation footprint is.

What it accesses — and what it doesn't

100% read-only

The app requests zero write scopes. It is technically incapable of changing anything in your portal.

Credentials are never stored

The OAuth token lives only for the duration of the scan, in memory, and is then discarded.

Only aggregates are kept

We store counts and percentages — never your contact records, property values, or workflow contents.

Read-only scopes requested: contacts, companies, deals, and their schemas; custom-object schemas; workflows; forms; and logged sales emails. No write scopes of any kind are requested. You can revoke access at any time from your HubSpot connected-apps settings.

Disconnecting and uninstalling

There's nothing you need to clean up — your access token is discarded the moment the scan finishes. If you'd like to remove the app's connection from your portal entirely, go to Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps in HubSpot, find Bryant Works AI Assessment, and select Uninstall. Re-running the assessment on the same portal within 7 days returns your previous result instead of scanning again.
